Discuss the macrobiotic lifestyle and learn how to make nori rolls and a basic macrobiotic pressed salad/miso soup from the aspiring Macrobiotic Counselor, Teresa! Everyone should bring with them an ingredient (preferably organic) that we can all use as a filler for the sushi (i.e. carrots, cucumber, asparagus, avocado, etc.). I (Silvio) will be in charge of making brown rice and will supply the nori. Hope to see you there!

**I'm sorry about the date change--- I didn't realize I had previous plans for April 4th, so I am moving the meetup to the following Saturday, the 11th. I hope everyone can still make it!**

This would be my first meeting. How many of you support using fish in macrobiotics. It's part of my initial training, but not sure how y'all in Seattle feel about it?

Who attended?

  • 7 attendees
    •  Its a good chance to meet like minded people and learn about the trials and tribluations of eating in a healthy way and having the oppurtunity to adopt communicty support for those interested in learning moe about macrobiotics or advocates of any healthy lifestyle.
    •  We rolled our own brown rice sushi and had Miso soup with it. We talked about our involvement with Macrobiotic and started to debate on how to make it more mainstream so we can provide its benefits to more people in this area. A special thanks to Teresa for providing the soup and sushi rolling expertise.
    •  Delicious food and good conversation!
